Refrigeration Technician Wanted!

work schedule: Monday – Friday 1:00pm – 9:00pm, able to work weekends and daily overtime. 

Are you a skilled technician with a passion for keeping things cool? We’re seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Refrigeration Technician. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining, repairing, and conducting preventative maintenance on anhydrous ammonia refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair, and conduct Preventative Maintenance (PM) on anhydrous ammonia refrigeration equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for PM’s, repairs, and return equipment to fully operational status.
• Read and understand technical drawings (P&ID’s, blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) to repair/maintain equipment.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other technicians to support facility operations.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to understand workload and record actions.
• Monitor, adjust, and optimize refrigeration systems using computerized control systems.
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and associates.
• Operate powered equipment during PM’s and repairs.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance on various ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, providing timely repairs.
• Handle emergency service calls for system breakdowns.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects and assignments.
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including PPE requirements.
• Work with low levels of Ammonia (<300ppm), adhering to respiratory program protocols.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Refrigeration Technician

Skills and Qualifications:

• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.

• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret graphs and technical diagrams.
